Global Affairs Graduate Student Summer Project Fellowship
Yale University
This fellowship is for MPP students only. Students can apply for up to $6,000 for an approved summer experience in the US or abroad. An approved summer experience must be at least eight (preferably ten to twelve) weeks long with students working full-time in one role or on one project. We define full time as at least thirty-five hours per week. Students may apply for this money for their first year summer experience only. Students can not apply for this fellowship for experiences at other times during their Yale program. Joint degree students and others who are at Yale for more than one summer are only eligible for this funding for their first Jackson summer.
Typical expenses include: airfare, living expenses (rent, food), and health insurance. Depending on the location of the experience, expenses might also include visa fees and vaccines.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The summer experience should be related to the student’s career and professional prospects.
At the end of the summer students will be required to submit an evaluation of their summer experience to meet their graduation requirement.
We expect that students will apply to other sources of funding if needed.
