Beinecke Library Research Fellowships for Yale Graduate and Professional Students
Yale University
The Beinecke Library offers, on a competitive basis, research fellowships to Yale graduate and professional students who wish to consult the Beinecke collections as a primary basis for their research.
Short-term and long-term fellowships are available, depending on students' needs. Short-term fellowships, available for one, two or three months, may be held at any time. Long-term fellowships are for one full semester.
Application Information: Applications have moved to Interfolio. For application, additional information, and frequently asked questions please visit the Beinecke Fellowship website
Restrictions to Use of Award: Fellowships may be used for research in any Yale Special Collection repository. Recipients are required to be regular researchers at the Beinecke Library during the course of their fellowships and may not hold concurrent teaching positions. Beinecke Fellowships may not be held in conjunction with any other Yale University fellowships.

Graduate students seeking these fellowships will be expected to have completed their course work, have passed their qualifying examinations, and be prepared to pursue research based upon an approved dissertation prospectus. Students who expect to complete these requirements within 10 weeks of the application deadline may apply, but any award offered to them will be contingent upon their meeting all requirements.
Professional school students seeking these fellowships will be expected to be engaged in research for the approved culminating project required for the completion of their degrees, with the normal expectation that this project will be undertaken in the final year of their program.
