Overview
This fund was named in 2015 in remembrance of Michaela Rae Romano (1988-2015), daughter of Western Illinois University professors of biology Michael and Susan Romano. A cum laude graduate of Knox College with a major in Anthropology-Sociology and a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies, Michaela was an exemplary student of the liberal arts and sciences.
Eligibility
CRITERIA:
- Undergraduate or graduate
- One to two semesters from completing a degree program offered int he College of Arts & Sciences at WIU-QC
- Minimum 3.5 WIU GPA
Students will be nominated by faculty. Nominated students will be notified and asked to submit an approximately 500-word essay demonstrating specific ways they’ve benefited from their WIU-QC CAS education.
