History:
The Marion Rayward Memorial Scholarship in Music arises from a fund established to commemorate the lively interest and contribution to music of Marion Rayward; teacher, student, music adviser, Teachers' College lecturer.
Who is eligible?
This scholarship is available to students intending to do research at post graduate level at the New Zealand School of Music – Te Kōkī in the field of Music Education. Master’s or Doctoral research is preferred, though Honours level research and projects may be considered. Research or projects which may lead to qualification or enhanced professional practice of the applicant may also be considered.
Selection criteria:
- Applicants for the scholarship must be intending to undertake research at Masters or PhD level. Honours level applicants may be considered.
- Applicants must be intending to undertake research in the field of Music Education at the New Zealand School of Music, Victoria University of Wellington.
