InPhySec Cyber Security Scholarships

The Scholarship is open to students studying Cyber Security Engineering or Software Engineering at Victoria University of Wellington. The Scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of academic merit.
History:
These scholarships were established in 2019 by InPhySec to support two students with their studies in cyber security. These awards are intended to encourage and help build cyber security expertise within New Zealand.
These scholarships are open to students enrolled at 200 level or above in a BE (Hons) degree majoring in Cyber Security Engineering or Software Engineering at Victoria University of Wellington. Recipients will be based on academic merit, however preference may be given to female applicants, or applicants from minority groups, in particular students of Māori or Pasifika descent.
Criteria:
- Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who will be able to obtain and keep a Security Clearance (See https://protectivesecurity.govt.nz/personnel-security/national-security-clearances/getting-a-national-security-clearance/).
- Applicants must be studying full time towards a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at Victoria University of Wellington.
- Applicants must be majoring in Cyber Security Engineering or Software Engineering.
- Applicants must have successfully completed at least 80 points at 100 level toward the degree specified above.
- Applicants must not be in receipt of a scholarship or another form of sponsorship from any other technology or information security company.
