Alexander Crawford Scholarship

History:
Founded by Alexander Crawford of Miramar, who in the year 1935 bequeathed to the Victoria University of Wellington the sum of $6,000 for the establishment of scholarships.
Four scholarships shall be available each year to students who are enrolled in the final year of a first Bachelor's degree at Victoria University of Wellington, and are pursuing a full-time programme of study. At least one of the scholarships will be available to a suitable student from the Faculty of Science.
Applicants must have been bona fide residents in the Wellington city for a period of at least five years prior to the granting of the scholarship. Attendance at a school beyond the Wellington city shall not necessarily disqualify an applicant, if the applicant is in other respects a bona fide Wellington resident.
Criteria:
- Applicants must be enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor's degree at Victoria University of Wellington and are pursuing a full-time programme of study.
- Applicants must have been a resident of the Wellington city for at least five years prior to applying for the scholarship.
