2023 Rural and Regional Agriculture Scholarship

Are you a rural or regional student planning to commence study at UOW in 2023?

The Rural and Regional Agriculture Scholarship aims to relieve some of the financial pressure associated with relocating from home, for the purposes of obtaining a tertiary education. This donor funded scholarship has been established to help young rural and regional Australians with big ambitions realise their potential through education.

To qualify, students must originate from a rural or regional background, be intending to study at UOW in 2023, and able to demonstrate a commitment to community. Students who come from an agricultural background are strongly encouraged to apply

Application Criteria:

• Applicants must be enrolled in an Undergraduate degree at the University of Wollongong in 2023
• Applicants must originate from a rural or regional area, as per the Modified Monash Classification (MM2-7): https://www.abs.gov.au/websitedbs/D3310114.nsf/home/remoteness+structure;
• Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Humanitarian or Australian Permanent Resident. Students from an agricultural background are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Successful applicants must remain enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Wollongong for the duration of this scholarship.
• Successful applicants must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65
