Jessie H. Mantle Fellowship in Nursing

A fellowship of $5,000 is awarded to an outstanding graduate student in the School of Nursing who is employed in, studying or researching the area of gerontological clinical nursing practice.
The work should be directly applicable to the care of older adults (usually defined as 65+ years) and have the potential to affirm or improve direct care. The recipient must demonstrate a commitment to the field of gerontological nursing practice by submitting an application statement detailing what the student is doing to improve clinical practice in gerontological nursing (e.g. presenting research at conferences, publishing articles, serving in leadership roles in geriatric practice, conducting research to inform clinical practice).
Approval of the recipient will be made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Graduate Awards Committee upon the recommendation of the School of Nursing.
Normally, the minimum requirement for consideration is an A- average and any additional criteria that has been established by the donor. Awards are assigned based on nominations from eligible academic units. Unless otherwise noted in the award description, you must be a full-time graduate student.
