Overview

Description

This endowed scholarship was established at the University of Southern Maine in December 2003 by Leon and Lisa Gorman. The purpose of the scholarship the scholarship is to assist transfer students in transitioning to the University of Southern Maine.

Eligibility

Eligibility

Students applying to USM as transfer students are eligible to apply for this award. Eligible students must have earned a minimum of 24 credit hours at a regionally accredited institution of higher education. A GPA of 3.0 is preferred.

Award Amount

$1,500 in the first year. Renewable for $1,000 in the second year.

How to Apply

  • Students must be admitted to USM as a Transfer Student
  • Submit a FAFSA
  • Complete the application for the scholarship including submission of a letter of recommendation

How to Renew

Once a student receives the scholarship, they must follow all of the terms and conditions outlined in the scholarship agreement form.
