Overview

The Future Leaders Human Resource Management Scholarship will be awarded to a student who is enrolled full-time or part-time in the second or third year (final) year of the Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) DBBH and XBBH (Online) program at UniSA. Final year students in the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Counselling and Interpersonal Skills) / Bachelor of Business (HRM) (MBCH) are also eligible to apply for the scholarship.

  • Applicants will be asked to provide a written statement (800 words) detailing:

  • Their interest and passion for the field of human resources

  • The benefits of effective HRM for people and organisations

  • How receipt of the scholarship would assist them in pursuing their HR career

  • Academic achievements (including cumulative Grade Point Average and a list of all courses studied to date including final grade for each)

  • Future career goals

  • Any financial or educational disadvantage that the applicant wishes to be taken into account

Applicants must also submit a current Curriculum Vitae as part of their application.

Interest and passion for the HR field is a key component of the selection criteria and applicants should take care to address this aspect in their written statement and if shortlisted for interview.

In addition to the scholarship funds, the scholarship is a unique opportunity to receive mentoring from a passionate and experienced human resources leader with many years of industry experience.

Value: The recipient will receive $5,000. The $5,000 will be paid in two instalments of $2,500 after the Study Period 2 and Study Period 5 census dates in the year the scholarship is awarded, provided the recipient maintains enrolment and satisfactory academic merit. Pro rata payments will apply to part-time recipients.
