Indigenous Graduate Student in Public Policy Studies Scholarship

The Indigenous Graduate Student in Public Policy Studies Scholarship was established to assist students who are pursuing a Masters or Doctorate degree at the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. As part of an initiative of the Provincial Health Council, supported by the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF), this scholarship will fund an Indigenous graduate student whose studies lie in the area of population health research.whose studies lie in the area of population health research.
Eligibility
The scholarship will be awarded to a University of Regina graduate student who meets the following criteria:
- Accepted as a fully-qualified graduate student;
- Is a self-declared Indigenous student (First Nations, Métis or Inuit);
- Pursuing a Master of Public Policy, Master of Health Administration, or Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy (MPA, and MCerts are NOT eligible);
- Area of study lies in population health research;
- Minimum Cumulative CGPA of 80%; and
- Registered and remains registered in a minimum of 6 credit hours during the term the scholarship is presented (or full-time as defined in the graduate calendar).
Application Information
In addition, students will need to upload the following:
- UP TO DATE Transcripts, which include CURRENT SEMESTER REGISTRATION. University of Regina Unofficial Transcript titled 'Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)' found in UR Self Service OR University of Regina Official Transcript from MyCreds. Please refer to the MyCreds | MesCertif learner FAQs for more information on fees and how to register.
IMPORTANT: If you are an entrance student with no grades yet at the U of R, in addition to the unofficial transcript found in UR Self Service or the official transcript from MyCreds, you MUST also provide a copy of your last institution transcript along with the grading key in order to be considered. You must combine these documents into one and upload them;
