DIVERGENT – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Scholarship

Initiated by Dr. Ann Pegoraro, inaugural Lang Chair in Sport Management, with the hopes of encouraging greater diversity in the BComm program, specifically in the Sport and Event Management Major. The goal of the DIVERGENT Scholarship is to develop strong women and/or diverse leaders who will shape a more equitable future for the industry. Students should complete the online Financial Need Assessment Form for Entrance Awards (E.N.A.F.) as soon as they receive their acknowledgment email from Admission Services (this will come automatically after an application for admissions has been submitted by the student) or by April 15th and send an email statement to Student Financial Services at awards@uoguelph.ca identifying as a Black, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit or Métis) or a person of colour/racialized student and, if applicable, identifying as a woman or of a diverse gender identity.

Black, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis), or persons of colour/racialized students entering any BComm program in the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics who have demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given in the following order: i) students who identify as women or diverse gender identities including two-spirit, trans, gender-fluid, gender non-conforming, or nonbinary; ii) students registered in the Sport and Event Management major.
