December 6th Memorial Graduate Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the University of Guelph Faculty Association, in memory of the fourteen women murdered in December 1989 at Ecole Polytechnique, to foster women's participation in a profession which is largely comprised of men. Apply by November 1st with a letter to School of Engineering Awards Committee soe.gradawards@uoguelph.ca. The letter should highlight the contributions of the applicant to extracurriculars, especially those that promote women in engineering. Selection will be based on high academic standing and contributions to fostering women’s participation in engineering.
Value: 1 award of $2,250 Awarded: In the fall and the recipient must be registered to receive.
Full-time Female students who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons of Canada registered in a graduate program offered by the School of Engineering. Preference will be given to a student who entered an Engineering graduate program in the previous summer, fall or winter semester. This award can be held with one other internal Engineering Graduate Scholarship.
