Cosimo Ferraro DVM Memorial Bursary

The Cosimo Ferraro DVM Memorial Bursary was established in memory of Dr. Cosimo Ferraro, Class of OVC 1947. Dr. Ferraro was born and raised in Guelph and was a proud graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College, always encouraging aspiring vet students to apply to OVC. A passionate small animal veterinarian with a keen interest in giving back to his profession and community, throughout his career Dr. Ferraro mentored new veterinarians as they established their careers in small animal practice. Dr. Ferraro’s family have established this bursary in his memory to carry on his legacy of support for future generations of companion animal veterinarians. Apply by October 7th to Student Financial Services with a completed Financial Need Assessment Form. Selection will be based on financial need.

Students registered in Phase 1 of the DVM program with demonstrated financial need and an interest in companion animal medicine, as demonstrated by listing companion animal practice as their Veterinary Clinical Practice career objective in their entrance survey.
