Carmen Dufort St-Jacques Equine Scholarship

Carmen St-Jacques was a horse-lover and breeder for 50 years. With her passing, she set aside funds to support OVC students engaged in equine studies. Apply during the fall call for applications from the OVC Dean’s office with a cover letter, curriculum vitae including a description of the volunteer and/or work experience in equine medicine in Ontario and a letter of reference from a professional who can attest to the student’s Ontario equine work and/or volunteer experience. Selection will be based on the highest combined average of VETM4450 Equine Medicine and Surgery and the VETM4900 Veterinary Externship.

Students registered in phase 4 of the DVM program in the Equine Stream who have completed VETM4450 Equine Medicine and Surgery and completed an Ontario-based VETM4900 Veterinary Externship and who have volunteer and/or work experience in equine medicine in Ontario.
