Billy Drynan Memorial Bursary

Established by Kevin Drynan ’83 and his wife Cheryl to support students from care attending the University of Guelph. Kevin is a past chair of the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto. He and Cheryl believe strongly in the power of education to improve life. Apply by October 7th to awards@uoguelph.ca with a completed Financial Need Assessment Form (N.A.F.) along with one of the following supporting documents: Verification of Crown Ward Status (form supplied by Family and Children’s Services); or a letter of verification from Family Services Worker; or a letter of verification from Adoption Worker. Verification letters from a Family Services or Adoption Worker should confirm the duration the student was/actively is in care and the name and contact information of the support worker. Selection will be based on financial need.

Students registered any program who have been Crown Wards or were in or leaving the care of Children’s Aid Societies and who have demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to students who were from the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto and then to students registered in a program in the Gordon S Lang School of Business and Economics.
