About Materials RIG are now recruiting PhD students for Oct 2024. There are a diverse range of exciting projects available, including:
Projects on Energy Materials:
- Ammonia borane as hydrogen storage material - completing the cycle
- Solar Chemistry for a Sustainable Future
- New materials for electrochemical carbon dioxide capture -3D printed biohybrid materials for energy conversion and beyond
- Conjugated polymers for solar energy and other energy applications
Projects on Biomaterials:
- Bio-based Nano-materials for Sustainable Functional Materials Fabrication
- Large, Woven Capsules to Bind Protein Guests
- Mechanochemistry in biological tissues
- Bio-inspired antifouling and anti-microbials
- Conductive hydrogels for bioelectronics
- Hybrid Metalloproteins for Electronics and Catalysis
