The Department of Computer Science and Technology will award one Hopper Scholarship to an outstanding UK student who wishes to undertake a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Cambridge.
We encourage groups currently underrepresented in Engineering and Physical Science subjects. Amongst UK-domiciled students, this includes women, Black British, British Bangladeshi and British Pakistani applicants. Amongst UK-domiciled, we also particularly welcome applications from people from low-income backgrounds, mature students, care-experienced students, and students from families where no parent or care-giver went to university. The Hopper Scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding UK graduate who wishes to pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Science in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at the University of Cambridge. Applicants will hold a first-class honours degree in computer science, or engineering, science, or mathematics where the applicant can demonstrate significant relevant preparation for the Ph.D. in Computer Science. A masters degree with high grades is highly desirable.
