Mark Heard Scholarship
University of Auckland
Description:
The Scholarship was established in 2017 and is funded by the estate of Elizabeth Heard in memory of her husband Mark Heard. Mr and Mrs Heard believed that education opportunities should be available to anyone regardless of the financial, social and cultural factors that normally impact on a person’s ability to realise their potential. The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support postgraduate students enrolled in the Faculty of Education and Social Work who have demonstrated the potential to succeed but are experiencing hardships or who may have been disadvantaged due to their personal circumstances.
