The Award, originally established in 1990 as the ‘Beca Engineering Prizes’, is intended to encourage students with the potential to add value to the engineering profession.

Selection process:

• Application is made to the Scholarships Office
• A Selection Committee assesses the applications
• Short-listed candidates may be required to attend an interview
• The Award is made by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the Selection Committee
