GREAT Scholarship

The UCL-GREAT Scholarships 2023 are jointly funded by UCL and the British Council. To provide financial support to citizens of India, Mexico, Thailand, Ghana, Kenya, Indonesia, Nigeria and Vietnam.

• Available to: Prospective students
• Selection criteria: Academic excellence and financial need
• Eligible fee status: Overseas (India, Mexico, Thailand, Ghana, Kenya, Indonesia, Nigeria and Vietnam)
• Eligible programmes: Postgraduate taught

Value, benefits, and duration

• There are 4 scholarships available in 2023/24.
• The value of the scholarship is £10,000
• The scholarship will be applied to the recipient’s tuition fees
• Award recipients are obliged to inform the UCL Student Funding Office immediately of any other funding they are awarded towards their UCL Master’s degree studies, before or subsequent to the UCL – GREAT scholarship. You are not permitted to hold any other scholarships if you are a GREAT scholar.

Candidates must be citizens of India, Mexico, Thailand, Ghana, Kenya, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Vietnam.

Have made an application to study a full-time Master's degree at UCL in 2023/24. Note by the closing date of 22nd May 2023 you will need hold an offer of a place at UCL.
