International Bursary for HANU Students

The University of Waikato and Hanoi University (HANU) signed a Guaranteed Credit Arrangement in 2021, which allows eligible students who have successfully completed the first one and a half years (herein referred to as 180 points) of their Bachelor degree in the Faculty of Management and Tourism at Hanoi University, to transfer and enrol in the Bachelor of Business offered by the Waikato Management School (WMS) and complete their degree at University of Waikato. The agreement allows for an exemption of credit, whereby eligible students for this Bursary will have up to 180 points exempted from their degree programme, based on the recognition of their previous study at HANU. Students may have their degree conferred once the 180 points have been completed at the University of Waikato.

No application is required. The Bursary is by nomination of the Regional Manager, South East Asia, International Office who will send the nomination to scholarships@waikato.ac.nz. All HANU students who meet the eligibility criteria as well as the transfer requirements for the University of Waikato’s Bachelor of Business, and have received an offer of place, will be nominated for this Bursary.

Students from Hanoi University (HANU) who have successfully completed the first one and a half years of their Bachelor degree in the Faculty of Management and Tourism at HANU, may transfer and enrol in the Bachelor of Business offered by the Waikato Management School (WMS) and complete their degree at University of Waikato.
