D.V. Bryant Trust University of Waikato Residential Scholarship

The D. V. Bryant Trust established Bryant Hall on land leased from the University of Waikato in 1971, as a Hall of Residence for students of the region who were attending the University. Since its inception, Bryant Hall has provided a supportive residential environment for first-year students and has also provided accommodation for a smaller number of senior undergraduate and graduate students who provide tutorial assistance and develop community activities to enrich the academic, cultural and social life of the Hall. From 2004, Bryant Hall has been owned and operated by The University of Waikato, but the commitment of the D. V. Bryant Trust to providing opportunities for the academic development of students in the Waikato region continues in the form of the D.V. Bryant Trust University of Waikato Residential Scholarships. The Scholarship supports those in financial need, and is therefore only for students residing in Bryant Hall or Student Village.

For school leavers intending to commence full-time enrolment in an undergraduate degree at the University of Waikato in A Trimester 2023. The Scholarship supports those in financial need and will be credited directly towards the successful applicants accommodation fees for either Bryant Hall or Student Village.
