Roland A. Gandy, Jr./ Mercy Hospital Medical Staff Scholarship

Scholarship awarded to full-time third year or higher medical students. To apply, interested candidates should submit the following to the College of Medicine and Life Sciences Scholarship Committee: 1. Personal essay (approximately 500 words or less) describing your motivations for pursuing a degree in medicine, what you hope to achieve in the medical field, and your aspirations following the receipt of your medical degree. 2. Resume/curriculum vita 3. An official transcript of your grades in medical school and official results of your USMLE step 1 scores. 4. Two letters of recommendation from two of your professors or preceptors.

All admitted or continuing UToledo students are invited to apply for scholarships. Most scholarship applications open in October and close from December to March. Once scholarship committees have selected recipients, all scholarship applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application via their UToledo email.
