Martin H. Ritchie Endowed Scholarship in Counselor Education

Scholarship awarded to counselor education students who exhibit potential to become professional leaders and offer them financial assistance to complete their Ph.D. Criteria for selection is the following: a. Applicant must be a graduate of a Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accredited master's degree program in counseling (can be but does not have to be from The University of Toledo). b. Applicant must demonstrate active involvement in professional service through organizations such as CSI, state counseling associations, etc. C. Applicant must submit current vita which shows evidence of a strong professional identity as a counselor.

All admitted or continuing UToledo students are invited to apply for scholarships. Most scholarship applications open in October and close from December to March. Once scholarship committees have selected recipients, all scholarship applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application via their UToledo email.
