Herb Sandberg Scholarship

Scholarship awarded to senior level students majoring in early childhood or middle childhood education who have completed a course in children's literature and early childhood or language arts methods courses. recipients must have demonstrated making reading and literature come alive. Recipients must have a minimum 2.7 GPA. Scholarship requires letter or recommendation from field experience advisors or cooperating teachers substantiating applicant's enthusiasm for teaching reading and language arts. Scholarship also requires current FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to be on file in the Office of Student Financial Aid.

All admitted or continuing UToledo students are invited to apply for scholarships. Most scholarship applications open in October and close from December to March. Once scholarship committees have selected recipients, all scholarship applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application via their UToledo email.
