George Haidet, M.D. Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship awarded to a second-year medical student who best exemplifies George’s outgoing, compassionate, and spiritual nature and his zest for life which made him an outstanding physician and friend to all who knew him. Applicant must complete a personal essay highlighting why he or she should receive this scholarship, as well as provide a letter of recommendation from a College of Medicine and Life Sciences faculty member, volunteer faculty member, or preceptor.

All admitted or continuing UToledo students are invited to apply for scholarships. Most scholarship applications open in October and close from December to March. Once scholarship committees have selected recipients, all scholarship applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application via their UToledo email.
