Overview
Background:
This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research in climate change mitigation: The politics of extraction for a just energy transition.
Benefits:
The Scholarship will provide a stipend allowance of $35,900 per annum for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
Eligibility
You must:
- be intending to apply for admission, have applied for admission or have a conditional or unconditional offer of admission to study full-time in a PhD at the Sydney Environment Institute
- conduct research into governing the political economy of lithium mining in Australia for renewable energy
- hold an undergraduate degree in humanities and social sciences and an honours degree (first class or second class upper) or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- have demonstrated commitment to environmental issues.
