Master of Research (MRes) in Speech and Language Sciences

This Master of Research represents a unique opportunity for students to conduct a substantial research project in the area of Speech and Language Sciences undertaken over one year. Students will gain important research skills by taking at least one 20-credit research training class from the following:
- C8939 - Quantitative Research Methods in Psychology
- C8990 - Research Methods in Clinical Health Psychology
This will prepare them well for their dissertation, which represents a significant component of the course. The MRes is suitable for recent graduates, who wish to advance their research skills in the field as well as candidates, who wish to consider subsequent PhD studies. MRes students will be supported by two supervisors throughout their studies.
You require to have a first-class or upper second-class UK undergraduate degree, or overseas equivalent, in speech and language pathology or a related subject such as linguistics, psychology, cognitive science.
You also need to show evidence of an appropriate level of English proficiency for applicants with an overseas qualification.
