Open to students who have completed Year Four of the DVM program at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. To be eligible, applicants must submit a one-page statement detailing their commitment to the human-animal bond as evidenced through volunteer activities with community-based organizations such as local shelters, extracurricular activities focused on the human-animal bond, and/or exemplary focus on the human-animal bond through patient and client care.

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on the relative merits of the submitted statements, as determined by the WCVM Awards Committee.
