Hannon Travel Scholarships will be awarded annually to students in English, Home Economics and Nutrition, and Theology*. To be eligible, students must be in the graduating year of their program and must have completed a minimum of 18 credit units in the previous year's Regular Session. Selection will be based on the merit of the travel proposal, involvement in university, college and community activities, and character. Academic achievement may be taken into consideration. In order to claim the Scholarship, once awarded, the recipient must undertake the travel identified in the proposal within one year.

*Theology - Open to students enrolled in a 3- or 4-year Bachelor of Arts degree program in the College of Arts and Science. To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in, or have taken an honours course in economics (ECON 404.6) or psychology (PSY 472.6) or admitted to the Honours program in Philosophy. Applicants must also submit a statement expressing their intent to study theology at a Bible college or seminary upon graduation.

The late Judge J.W. Hannon in honour of the memory of his father, the Rev. James Hannon, D.D. who was a minister of the Methodist Church for 48 years.
