Number offered One annual prize of $1,000 for the best public speaking performance, and an additional 10 annual prizes of $25.00 each (gift cards) for a connected trivia contest.

All students registered in an undergraduate program at the University of Saskatchewan who have completed RCM 300 are eligible to apply to the competition. To be eligible, students must submit their speech stategy report, a completed competition form, and a recommendation from their RCM 300 instructor. A final pool of six students will be chosen based upon the merits of the submitted reports and instructor recommendations.

Selection Criteria

The $1,000 prize will go to the student judged to have delivered the best public speaking performance, as determined by the Award Committee. The additional 10 prizes of $25.00 each (gift cards) will be selected during "Rhetoric trivia" in between when the contest ends and when the judges declare a winner of the best public speaking performance prize.
