Overview

These scholarships were established from the estate of the University of Newcastle’s first Professor of French, Professor Kelver Hartley. They aim to promote the study of French at this university and assist students in their endeavours. Funding is derived from the Hartley Bequest administered by the executors, the Perpetual Trustees.

The Short Stays Scholarships support a 3 week course in Noumea and the language school CREIPAC. Students who are undertaking minor or major studies in French with University of Newcastle are encouraged to express interest asap via email to Dr Marie-Laure Vuaille-barcan - Marie-laure.Vuaille-barcan@newcastle.edu.au.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you will need to:

Be accepted on the Short Stay trip to Noumea as part of your French studies with University of Newcastle.
