Melbourne Engineering & IT - Indigenous Masters Scholarship
THE UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE
The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology welcomes Indigenous Australians to complete a Masters by coursework at the University of Melbourne. This scholarship provides a living allowance of $10,000 per year for the full-time equivalent duration of the chosen two or three-year masters course.
What are the benefits?
A living allowance of $10,000 per year (paid quarterly) for 2-3 years equal to the duration of the chosen 2 or 3-year Masters course.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- be an Indigenous Australian citizen
- have applied for a Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology graduate degree by coursework.
Selection criteria:
Eligible candidates are selected based on academic merit taking into consideration the results of previous tertiary study.
When determining recipients of this scholarship, the support already received by all eligible applicants in the form of other student awards that would concurrently apply will be taken into account.
Conditions:
- This scholarship is subject to University of Melbourne Coursework Scholarship Conditions.
- This scholarship cannot be transferred outside of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.
- The scholarship can be deferred to the following year if there are compassionate or compelling circumstances that prevent - you from commencing your course in the year for which the scholarship was offered.
- Your status as an Indigenous Australian must be confirmed by the Murrup Barak Melbourne Institute for Indigenous Development.
- You must maintain an academic status of good standing (making satisfactory academic progress) for the duration of the scholarship. If not, the scholarship may be revoked.
