Overview
The John and Jenny Barnett Memorial Prize was established by family and friends of John and Jenny Barnett. Associate Professor Barnett was a lecturer and researcher in animal welfare who, with his wife Jenny, was killed in the Black Saturday bushfires in 2009. This prize could assist a student undertaking an Honours or Masters Project in Animal Welfare with study and living expenses.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- be commencing or enrolled in the Bachelor of Agriculture (Honours) or the Bachelor of Science (Honours in Agricultural Science, Veterinary Bioscience or Animal Science and Management) or Masters by Coursework in Animal Science
Selection criteria:
Selection is based on:
- demonstrated academic merit
- providing details of your research proposal relating to animal welfare
