A suite of bursaries for Indigenous Australian students.

What are the benefits?

Between $750 and $15,000, depending on the specific scholarship.

The value of the scholarships vary depending on the income of the trust and will be confirmed at the time of awarding.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander decent, identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, and be accepted as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander by the community in which they live, or formerly lived.
  • be enrolled in a course at the University of Melbourne
  • have met the conditions of any Indigenous Bursaries awarded to you previously (such as submission of scholarship reports)

The status of indigenous Australians must be confirmed by the Murrup Barak Melbourne Institute for Indigenous Development.

Selection criteria

Eligible applicants are selected on the basis of the specific purpose of the scholarship, financial need, academic merit and other scholarships awarded to the applicant.
