Hugh Kingsley Family Scholarship
THE UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE
The Hugh Kingsley Family Scholarship was established with a donation from Hugh Kingsley, and is offered to mature aged students who are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.
What are the benefits?
A living allowance of $5,000 per half year for the standard full-time duration of your course. The duration of the scholarship will be reduced by study undertaken previously and credited towards your course.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- be over 25 years of age at the time of application
- an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- have applied for or be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree by coursework at the University of Melbourne
- have at least twelve months of full-time equivalent study remaining to complete your course
- be experiencing compassionate or compelling circumstances (e.g. having primary care responsibilities for a dependent, medical condition, disability, or personal or financial difficulties)
Selection criteria:
The scholarship is offered to eligible candidates with the highest overall level of disadvantage.
Conditions:
This scholarships are subject to the Coursework Scholarship Conditions. In addition, you must agree to give permission for the University to provide your name and course details to the donor of your scholarship and to provide a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
