Fletcher Scholarship in Engineering
THE UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE
This scholarship was established in 2018 with a donation from the Angus Fletcher Trust, and awarded to undergraduate students who intend to become professionally qualified engineers and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.
What are the benefits?
An allowance of $5,000 per year (paid in half-yearly instalments) for up to three years while enrolled in an undergraduate degree and up to two years while enrolled in the Master of Engineering.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen
- have completed Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia
- not have been awarded results for subjects undertaken as part of a degree course at a tertiary institution in Australia
- have applied for a University of Melbourne Graduate Degree Package in Engineering via VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12 or International Baccalaureate
- be eligible for entry to the University of Melbourne under Access Melbourne
Selection criteria:
This scholarship is awarded to eligible candidates who have the highest overall level of disadvantage based on the information provided in their VTAC SEAS application and their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).
Conditions:
This scholarship is subject to the Coursework Scholarships Terms & Conditions and can be deferred to the following academic year. In addition, you must enrol in an undergraduate degree with an engineering major followed by the Master of Engineering. See: Engineering pathway
