Alice Glover Scholarship
THE UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE
This scholarship was established with a donation from Dr Alice Glover, and awarded to undergraduate students who completed Year 12 at an under represented school and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.
What are the benefits?
An allowance of $5,000 per year (paid in half-yearly instalments) for up to three years.
The duration these scholarship will be extended with one year if you enrol in a Bachelor (Extended) course and/or a concurrent diploma at the same time as their Bachelor degree course at the University of Melbourne.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen
- have completed Year 12 or International Baccalaureate at an under-represented school
- not have been awarded results for subjects undertaken as part of a degree course at a tertiary institution in Australia
- have applied for a University of Melbourne undergraduate degree via VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12 or International Baccalaureate
- be eligible for entry to the University of Melbourne under Access Melbourne
Selection criteria:
This scholarship is awarded to eligible candidates who have the highest overall level of disadvantage based on the information provided in their VTAC SEAS application and their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).
The status of indigenous Australians must be confirmed by the Murrup Barak Melbourne Institute for Indigenous Development.
