Macqueen Scholarship

A generous donation from The Julie-Ann Macqueen Trust will fund a PhD in Social Work for students whose research focuses on one-parent families.
Award:
Two awards covering full tuition fees at UK, EU or Overseas level. The awardees will also receive a maintenance stipend which will be set to the UKRI level for 2023/24 and a £750 annual research grant. Awards are made for three years for full-time students or six years pro-rata for part-time students.
The award has been made possible by a generous donation from The Julie-Ann Macqueen Trust. Ms Macqueen played a leading role in bringing the struggles of single-parent families to the attention of the public and policy and lawmakers.
These award are available to students intending to commence a PhD in Social Work in September 2023 on either a full-time or part-time basis. There are two supervisor -led proposals which PhD applicants can apply for.
