J. Michael Hansen M.D. Memorial Scholarship

Friends of Dr. Hansen created this scholarship to honor his memory. Dr. Hansen practiced in the Batesville area and at Margaret Mary Hospital. He had a great appreciation for the nurses with whom he worked. The scholarship is for graduating students from Ripley County who intend to study nursing.

• Be a graduating senior from Batesville High School; or
• A graduating senior from any other Ripley County high school; or
• A graduating senior from Oldenburg Academy; AND
• Be planning a major in an accredited nursing program with the intent to obtain the status of Registered Nurse; AND
• Have a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 grading scale; AND
• Demonstrate a real need of funds to pay tuition for college; AND {Financial need}
• Include a copy of acceptance letter from your college or university; AND
• Submit a letter of a recommendation from a high school teacher or guidance counselor;
