George M. Hillenbrand Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to aid worthy boys or girls of Batesville, Indiana, or the nearby surrounding territory to secure a higher education. The amount of this scholarship shall not exceed $500 per year for four years and shall cease in the event the grade point average of the recipient falls below the standard of the scholarship established by said university or college, or in the event of expulsion, incapacity, or death.

• Be a graduate of Batesville High School-Batesville, Indiana;
• Plan to attend an accredited four year Indiana college or university; AND
• Have shown by temperament, sobriety and ambition, evidence of appreciating and utilizing the benefits of a higher education; AND
• Have shown financial need.
