Overview
Clara Bell Vestal Scholarship was established by Jo Westmeyer in memory of her sister, Clara Bell. Clara Bell was a lifelong resident of the Versailles area who understood the value of furthering one’s education beyond high school. She recognized the impact education can have on one person and on a community. Therefore, her family established The Clara Bell Vestal Scholarship to benefit South Ripley High School graduates and help them offset the cost of college tuition
Eligibility
Applicants should be:
- Graduating seniors from South Ripley High School, Versailles, IN
- Intending to major in the field of agriculture. The field of agriculture shall include, but not be limited to: Agricultural Bioengineering, Agriculture Business, Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Animal Sciences, Biochemistry, Botany, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Youth Development in Agriculture, Agriculture Communication, Agricultural Information Technology, Environmental Sciences and Ecological Sciences;
- Shall provide two (2) letters of recommendation from a non-family member
- Shall complete an essay of no more than 500 words on why the applicant has chosen to study/major in the field of agriculture;
