Scholarship Description

A leadership program for excelling students from East Jerusalem. The program’s cohort coalesces into a group of young leaders who will influence life in East Jerusalem and serve as trailblazers, inviting others to integrate into Israeli academia, the public, and quality employment. At the same time, the students will work to reduce social inequalities in East Jerusalem. Excelling students from any faculty can join the program. Strong candidates will demonstrate leadership potential and the ability to create social change, within three areas: 1. Personal development – students will undergo a process of personal development with the goal of becoming more aware by reflecting on their strengths and weaknesses, developing the interpersonal skills needed to advance their leadership, and broadening their skillset; 2. Social development – in becoming social leaders, the students will become more aware of, and motivated for, social activism, while gaining skills to lead projects that will contribute to society and create social change in East Jerusalem; 3. Professional development – to leverage most effectively the students’ personal skills and guarantee quality employment, the students participate in workshops to build their professional skills, dealing with barriers, and finding employment during their studies.
