Overview

Each year the Tjabal Indigenous Higher Education Centre, ANU College of Health & Medicine, ANU College of Science, and ANU College of Engineering & Computer Science may offer the Indigenous Science and Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship. This scholarship aims to:

  • support Indigenous students studying science, technology, engineering, mathematics or medicine (STEMM);
  • provide financial assistance in the second year of full time study; and
  • encourage the continuation of studies after first year.

Selection:

Selection is made on the basis of academic merit.

Normally, the scholarship will be rotated each year between the ANU College of Health & Medicine, ANU College of Science and the ANU College of Engineering & Computer Science. If there are no suitable applicants from the assigned College in that year, selection can be made from the alternative College.

Eligibility

The award is available each year to a continuing ANU student who is:

  • an Indigenous Australian student; and
  • is enrolled in the second year of an undergraduate degree in the ANU College of Health & Medicine, ANU College of Science or ANU College of Engineering & Computer Science.
