Director's Scholarship for Academic Excellence is offered by ANU College of Science to the very best international students from the ANU - SDU Joint Science College (JSC) at Shandong University, Weihai, China.

The scholarship rewards high quality, top-performing students from JSC who come to study at ANU.

Eligibility

The Award is available to a prospective ANU student who:

  • is an International student; and
  • is currently enrolled in the ANU-SDU Joint Science College at Shandong University, Weihai; and
  • receives an offer of admission to a vertical double degree combination of undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs offered by the ANU College of Science; and
  • has not received the Award previously.

Benefits The scholarship offers an award of $15,000 over two years. The award is paid in equal instalments after census date of the first and third semester after commencement at ANU.

How to apply

Eligible students will be provided a link to the online scholarship application form after they have submitted their application to study at the ANU.

Online scholarship application form link will be sent to the email address provided by the student in their ANU International Student Application Form.

Further information

Scholarships are divided equally between the top-ranked male and top-ranked female applicants from each degree program / major at ANU - SDU Joint Science College (JSC), as determined by the Selection Committee.

Selection is made on the basis of meeting the eligibility criteria and academic merit. Other factors such as diversity of the student cohort, community and university engagement or evidence of leadership may also be taken into account. Preference may be given to marks achieved in academic courses at JSC relevant to applicant's major at ANU.
