Northern Rivers Customer-Owned Banking Scholarship

The Northern Rivers Customer Owned Banking Scholarship is a three-year scholarship to support a new Bachelor of Business and Enterprise student at Southern Cross University, who was affected by the 2022 Northern NSW floods. The scholarship is generously funded by the following customer-owned banks: Greater Bank, Summerland Credit Union, G&C Mutual Bank, BCU, Newcastle Permanent Building Society, and Southern Cross Credit Union.

Applicants applying for this scholarship must:

• Be Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents including Permanent Humanitarian Visa holders.
• Qualify for admission and be enrolled full-time (on-campus or online) in the Bachelor of Business and Enterprise at Southern Cross University.
• Be commencing the first year of their degree to be eligible to apply.
• Applicants must reside in an area that was affected by the 2022 Northern NSW floods. The corresponding postcodes are 2480, 2470, 2471, 2472, 2477, 2478, 2484, 2482, 2483, 2485, 2486, 2487, and 2488.

Selection will be based on:

• An assessment of the personal introductory statement (consisting of 100–200 words) explaining motivation for applying for the scholarship and aspirations for the future upon completing the Bachelor of Business and Enterprise degree.
