Overview
This RMIT-Human Aerospace project aims to develop garment-based countermeasures to preserve the health and enable safer and more effective mobility of astronauts.
The successful applicant will be a key part of a team working on a project to develop:
- Gravity loading countermeasure skinsuits
- Alternatives to gas-pressurised space suits
- Compression garments to mitigate orthostatic intolerance.
This scholarship provides a stipend of $31,260 per annum (pro-rata) for two years. A successful international applicant will also be awarded an International Tuition Fee Scholarship.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- Have a first-class honours or high second-class honours or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline of engineering/science
- Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or an international student meeting the minimum English language requirements
- Provide evidence of adequate oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary research team
- Meet RMIT’s entry requirements for the Masters by Research degree.
