Overview
Apply for a scholarship from the DF CRC to undertake your PhD at the frontiers of finance and blockchain.
The DF CRC is a collaboration between industry and universities to commercially exploit opportunities arising from the tokenisation of assets and other innovations in digital finance.
The DF CRC–RMIT co-funded scholarship provides the following benefits to recipients:
- a stipend of $60,00 per annum pro rata (full-time study)
- a research support allowance of $10,000 per annum
- international candidates in receipt of this scholarship are also awarded an RTP International Tuition Fee Offset Scholarship (RIFOS) or an RMIT Research International Tuition Fee Scholarship (RRITFS)
- all local candidates, Australian and New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Australia are provided with an RTP Fee Offset scholarship. Applicants in receipt of an RTP Fee Offset scholarship are not required to pay tuition fees for the maximum duration of their candidature
The standard duration is three years full-time. Candidates may apply for an extension of up to six months subject to satisfactory progress and approval from the school, CRC and industry partner.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:
- Meet RMIT’s academic entry requirements for Doctor of Philosophy programs
- Have a background in finance, economics, law or computer science.
- Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or an international student meeting the minimum English language requirements.
- Have good oral and written communication skills.
