Overview
For students who identify as a woman in the first or second year of a Bachelor of Engineering who are Indigenous, relocating to study, or can demonstrate financial disadvantage; worth up to $5,000.
If you identify as a woman and are commencing or going into the second year in a Bachelor of Engineering and are either an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, moving from a regional area to study in Melbourne, or can demonstrate financial disadvantage, this scholarship could provide assistance for two years.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- be an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident or an Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder
- identify as a woman
- be undertaking full-time study in semester 1 2023 in a single Bachelor of Engineering degree and be either:
- commencing first year, or
- enrolling in second year (not have completed/have credit exemptions more than 96 credit points of study by the end of semester 2 2022)
- meet one or more of the following:
- identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- be from a rural/regional area and moving/moved to Melbourne to study at RMIT
- be able to demonstrate financial disadvantage such as receiving a government tested low income benefit or having a Centrelink Health Care Card
- have not previously commenced or completed a program at the same level of study or higher
Preference will be given to students who are commencing their first year in their Bachelor of Engineering program.
